Ft. Sooy-No Limit Hits the Jackpot in Las Vegas
With all of the attention focused on the MeanStreets Express, Illinois Wolves. and, Chicago Jaguars nobody paid any attention to Ft. Sooy-No Limit. Not one story anywhere by anybody mentioned Ft. Sooy even once from the beginning of the Reebok Big Time Tournament up until the championship game. Meanwhile those three teams garnered over fifteen stories in the same amount of time despite the fact that none of those teams won a championship. Ft. Sooy did walk away with a championship. They went 2-1 in pool play. They were then placed into the "A" Division where they proceeded to go 5-0 including the championship game victory over the Colorado Hawks 78-76. Justin Bocot was stellar throughout the tournament averaging 21 points per game including 36 points against the Houston Lynx. His game winning floater in the lane in the last seconds against the Hawks gave Ft. Sooy their first major championship since Shaun Livingston was still playing for the team. Verdell Jones III made the most free throws in a single game with 19-21 in their 2 point loss to Florida Elite. Key contributions also came from Lonnie Lawrence, Jordan Lee, Spencer Adams, Spencer Johnson, Brylin Brown, and Matt Miller.
