THE BEST IN ILLINOIS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL RECRUITING!

Spiece Run-N' Slam All-Star Weekend Classic
Preview, Part 2

The 17U won’t be the only division packed with top notch Illinois talent in Ft. Wayne this weekend.  The 16U division will also be packed.

The Illinois Fire may just be the top 16U team throughout the state when they carry their full roster.  They will be competing and headed by Ryan Hare, Jeremy Montgomery, and Dion Dixon.  Sophomores-Elliott Brown, Lorenzo Franklin, Donavan Foster, and David Dixon, and the state’s #1 freshman-Michael Haynes, will also be looked upon to contribute big time.

If the Fire isn’t number one, the only other option is the Illinois Wolves, who recently finished in the final four at the prestigious Lebron James Shooting Stars Classic.  The Wolves are fired by Nick Fruendt, Chris Parrish, Armani Williams, John Moran, and Marquise Stewart.

MeanStreets hasn’t made much noise so far this spring but hopefully that will change this weekend.  Sophomore post players-Mike Dunigan and Josh Crittle are the keys but they wouldn’t be successful without a good point guard in Kevin Dillard.  6’4” all-purpose guard, Jeremy McCray, will have to contribute big time.

Other top teams from the state include Rising Stars, led by Rob Belcore and Gozie Umeadi; Chicago Ferrari led by A.J. Rompza, Bryan Hall, and Isaiah Williams; and Full Package, led by super-sophomore, Supi Sanni, who has enhanced his stock big time with his play over the spring.

Other Illinois players that will be participating on teams based outside of the state include 6’9” Trey McCorkle, Stefon Carson, Jeremy Robison, Lewis Jackson, and Matt Roth.
