Moran Makes Early Decision
Jacobs star, John Moran, verbally committed to the Panthers of Northern Iowa this past Thursday. Moran, a 6'1" point guard, has a very good feel for the game. He competed with the Illinois Wolves on the AAU circuit and fit the perfect mold of their traditional point guard: Smart, skilled, and hardworking. Another thing the three have in common is that all have committed to Missouri Valley programs - Sam Maniscalco with Bradley and Bryan Mullins with Southern Illinois. John considered interest from a ton of college programs. DePaul, William & Mary, Loyola-Chicago, Dayton, Kent State, and Wisconsin-Green Bay were among the many who extended scholarship offers. Moran becomes the forth member of the Illinois Wolves' 2008 class to accept a Division One scholarship alongside Chris Parrish (Southern Illinois) and Nick Fruendt and John Shurna (Northwestern).
