Unheralded 6'10" Sophomore Picks Up First Scholarship Offer
Meyers Leonard is not known by many in the state of Illinois but that doesn't mean he's not a player. He is a high level prospect and you will be hearing a lot more from him in the near future. Leonard, a 6'10" sophomore, attends Robinson High School in Robinson, Illinois. He is playing this summer with Team Rameybasketball.com's 16 and under. He's got great potential and college coaches are already taking notice. "He picked up an offer from Southern Illinois and head coach Chris Lowery last Thursday," stated Leonard's AAU coach, Terrell Ramey. "Missouri and Cincinnati are also heavily recruiting Leonard." This weekend, Leonard and Team Rameybasketball.com will be competing in Arkansas at the Old School Classic and will follow up in Nashville the next weekend, competing in the King of the South tournament. Keep an eye on Leonard as he will definitely earn his keep as one of the state's top prospects over the next few years.
