Player Focus: Nick Michael
Class A basketball, around the Central Illinoia area, is usually known for its many shooters. This case is no different. Nick Michael of St. Joseph-Ogden High School is one of the top shooters throughout the state of Illinois and has been making his name as a player over the course of the last two months. Nick is a 6'4" 175 lbs senior wing guard. He shoots the ball lights out when he's spotted up. His quick release allows him to get his shot off against the bigger and more athletic opponents. Michael has also shown the ability to handle the ball some. At the Hoosier Shootout at the beginning of the month, Nick had a lights out game against the St. Louis Falcons. He went 6 of 8 from beyond the arch and finished with 20 points in a narrow loss. Nick has recently joined the Twin City Magic on the AAU circuit. This winter, he will be a part of a tough St. Joseph-Ogden team. They placed second at the Jacksonville Summer Shootout.
