Arizona, Wake Forest Interested in George Marshall
January 15, 2010
George Marshall of Chicago Brooks already has several high major offers and the number could be growing in the near future. Marshall is now receiving interest from Arizona and Wake Forest. Both programs are rich with a tradition of winning over the last fifteen years, and are nationally recognized as high profile basketball schools.
It is easy to see why a prospect would be enticed by the opportunity to play for both. Arizona is often referred to as Point Guard U, having produced a myriad of NBA players at the guard position including Mike Bibby, Jason Terry, Gilbert Arenas, and Jerryd Bayless in recent years. Wake Forest has developed a team that is always a force in the ACC conference and is the school from which Chris Paul has emerged as arguably the best point guard in the NBA.
Marshall already has offers from DePaul, Baylor, Illinois State, Ohio, Marquette, Xavier and Wisconsin. He is looking forward to the Chicago Public League play forthcoming. Chicago Brooks is believed to be one of the strongest teams in the Red-South Division where competition is fierce. Marshall thinks his team is ready for the challenge.
“I feel like I played decent during the Centralia Holiday Tournament considering it was the early part of the season. Now our team has turned the corner and we are ready for Public League competition.
Brooks has a pivotal division matchup this evening against Chicago Julian at 5:30.
